Bright white kitchen with a large center island and pendant lighting

    You’ve heard the stories

Remodeling shouldn't cost you your savings and your peace of mind.

Across Montgomery and Bucks County, homeowners tell us the same thing: most people don’t put off their remodel because they don’t want it. They put it off because they’re afraid of what hiring the wrong contractor will do to them.

    The budget

    The price keeps climbing

You sign for one number, then the change orders start. Suddenly the project costs thousands more than you planned, and you feel powerless to stop it.

    The timeline

The job drags on for months

Crews show up late, disappear for days, and your house sits half-finished while you live in the dust — waiting for someone to come back and get it done.

    The accountability

No one will own the problem

When something goes wrong, the trades blame the office and the office blames the trades — and you’re the one left chasing answers.

    No more guessing

Walk through your new space before we pour a dollar into it.

The scariest part of remodeling is committing to choices you can’t picture yet. So we don’t ask you to. Before construction starts, you see your finished room in full 3D and sign off on every selection, so what you approve is exactly what you get.

    01

    We measure your home

Your exact dimensions go into our design system, so the plan fits your space down to the inch.

    02

    We plan every inch

Smart space planning makes sure the layout works for how you actually live, not just how it looks.

    03

    You choose the finishes

Faucets, tile, paint, flooring, cabinets. You make the selections, we keep them on budget.

    04

    You see it rendered

It all comes together in a realistic 3D render, so you walk in already knowing what you’re getting.

    The honest comparison

What changes when you hire True North.

Most remodelers sound the same on the phone. The difference shows up in how the project actually goes. Here’s where we part ways with the typical contractor.

    In their words

See what's possible for your home.

The remodel is the easy part to show. What homeowners remember is how it felt to actually get there.

We have a historic stone farmhouse in Bucks County, and Matt and his team transformed the space with an addition while keeping the integrity of the architecture and history. We couldn’t be happier with the results! A year after construction, every time we reach out with questions, Matt responds within hours — above and beyond. Our family highly recommends True North, and we’ll be using them again.

True North fixed some house siding issues for us, as well as converting a two-door garage into a one-door garage. They did the jobs with professionalism and the work turned out great. They always got back to me with any questions and concerns I had. Great crew and leadership.

Every project is different, so we give you one fixed price before any work begins — and that’s the number you pay. As a rough starting point, kitchen remodels in our area typically begin around $25,000, bathrooms in the $15,000–$30,000 range, home additions around $60,000, and whole-home renovations from $80,000 and up, depending on size, finishes, and structural work. Instead of a vague estimate that creeps upward, we walk you through 3D designs and detailed selections first, then lock the price in writing. You approve that number before we pick up a tool, so there are no surprise change orders mid-project. If something you want pushes the budget, we’ll show you the trade-offs up front so you stay in control of both the scope and the spend.

Timelines depend on scope, but you’ll get a clear schedule up front and a crew on site working it daily — not a job that drags on for months. As a general guide, a bathroom remodel usually runs 2–3 weeks, a kitchen 4–6 weeks, and a whole-home renovation or large addition 3–6 months. We finalize your exact schedule during the design phase, once selections are made and permits are in hand, so you know the start date, the major milestones, and the finish date before we begin. Because we run our own crew and order materials ahead of time, we avoid the stop-start delays that stretch most remodels. If weather or a long-lead-time material affects the timeline, you’ll hear it from us early — not discover it from a crew that quietly disappeared.

Usually not. For most kitchen, bathroom, and single-room projects you can stay in your home the whole time. We protect the rest of your house with dust barriers and floor protection, keep the work area contained, and clean up at the end of each day. Where it helps, we’ll set up a temporary arrangement — like a small prep area during a kitchen remodel — so daily life stays manageable. For larger whole-home renovations that affect plumbing, power, or most of your living space at once, it can be more comfortable and faster to move out for part of the project, and we’ll tell you honestly during planning if that’s the case. Either way, you’ll know exactly what to expect before we start, so there are no mid-project surprises about where you’ll cook, shower, or sleep.

Yes — True North Construction is fully licensed and insured to remodel homes throughout Montgomery and Bucks County, and we’re glad to provide our license and insurance documentation on request. Beyond the paperwork, every project is backed by our written warranties: five years on the structural work and two years on craftsmanship, so the bones of your project and the finish details are both covered long after we’ve packed up. We also carry liability and workers’ compensation coverage, which protects you and your property if anything happens on site. Hiring a licensed, insured, warranty-backed contractor is one of the most important safeguards on a $25,000–$100,000 renovation — it’s the difference between a problem that simply gets fixed and one that quietly becomes your problem.

Getting multiple bids is smart — but only if you’re comparing the same scope. The lowest number on paper is rarely the cheapest project once change orders, upgrades, and ‘we didn’t include that’ conversations begin. When you compare bids, look past the bottom line: Is the same quality of materials specified? Are permits, demolition, and cleanup included? Is the price fixed, or an estimate that can climb? Does the contractor carry a warranty and run their own crew, or hand your job to whoever’s available that week? We encourage you to compare us against others — we’ll give you a detailed, fixed-price proposal with the scope spelled out, so you can make a true apples-to-apples decision instead of guessing where the low bid cut corners.

Yes. Once your project starts, you’ll have a dedicated crew on site working it daily until it’s done — not a crew that shows up for a day and then disappears for a week while they juggle three other jobs. We deliberately limit how many projects we run at once so your remodel gets consistent, focused attention. You’ll always know who’s in your home, what they’re working on, and where the project stands. Daily progress also means issues get caught and solved quickly instead of sitting idle, and your timeline stays on track. And if you have a question mid-project, you’ll have a direct point of contact who actually knows your job — not a call center or a voicemail box.

Both, and it’s deliberate. Our core carpentry and project leadership are in-house — the people running your job day to day are True North’s own team, accountable to us and to you. For specialized trades like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, we bring in licensed subcontractors we’ve worked with for years and trust completely. That combination gives you the best of both worlds: consistent craftsmanship and accountability from a crew that knows our standards, plus licensed specialists for the work that legally and practically should be handled by experts. We manage and coordinate every trade ourselves, so you’re never left chasing down a subcontractor or wondering who’s responsible for what — one team, one point of contact, and one company standing behind the finished result.

Every project is backed by written warranties covering both the structure and the finish work. Our five-year structural warranty covers the things you can’t see but depend on — framing, load-bearing changes, and the core construction that holds your project together. Our two-year craftsmanship warranty covers the finish details you live with every day, like cabinetry, tile, trim, and fixture installation. If something isn’t right within those periods, we come back and make it right — no arguing, no runaround. You’ll get the warranty terms in writing as part of your proposal, so you know exactly what’s covered and for how long before the project begins. Many of the products we install (appliances, fixtures, and materials) also carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we’ll make sure you have that documentation when we hand the project back to you.

We do. Pulling the right permits and scheduling inspections is part of every project we manage — you don’t have to navigate the township office or figure out which approvals your remodel needs. Permits protect you: they ensure the work meets code, that it’s properly documented for resale, and that it’s done safely and legally. We handle the applications, coordinate with your local building department in Montgomery or Bucks County, and schedule the required inspections at each stage of the job. Skipping permits to save a little time is a shortcut that can cost you later — failed inspections, complications at resale, or insurance problems if something goes wrong. We build everything to code and keep the paperwork right, so your finished project is fully approved and worry-free.
